Interview with James Douglas in today's 'Highland News'

In today's (Thurs 3rd November) edition of the 'Highland  News' paper, there is a centre page interview with Composer James Douglas, introducing the New CD: 'Land of the Lochans.' I am very grateful indeed to Margaret Chrystall and to the Highland Freetime section for featuring this and hopefully I will be able to find it online to allow some of our friends elsewhere to read it also!

If you would like to meet James Douglas in person, come to The Macphail Centre on Tues 8th Nov from 7.30-9pm! Copies of the CD can be signed in person.

CD Preview: 'Land of the Lochans' by James Douglas

CD PREVIEW: Land of the Lochans by James Douglas
Composer James Douglas will launch his brand new CD: ‘Land of the Lochans’ at The Macphail Centre on Tuesday 8th November with a Party from 7.30-9pm. Everyone is invited to come along to this Free event, to hear some music from this new recording and to meet James Douglas, his friends and family too (phone 612236 for further details).

‘Land of the Lochans’ pays homage to the beauty and the majesty of the scenery of N W Scotland with music for Piano & Flute (performed by flautist George Gwilt & James Douglas, Piano). “Try it!” says James Douglas. The music also gives a graphic and atmospheric picture of the wonderful mountain Suilven and its surrounding scenery, as well as of Beinn Ghoblach rising above Loch Broom. The CD will be on sale on the evening and is also available from The Ullapool Bookshop from Monday 7th November. Further details:
